Which brow treatment should I choose?

Choose threading or waxing if you only need shape, a tint if your brows look fair or patchy, and HD Brows if you want both in one appointment. Brow lamination suits hairs that grow down or across when you'd like them to sit brushed up. Silan will tell you which suits your brows best.

If you're not sure, start with HD Brows. It covers the shaping and the colour in a single visit for £30, and it gives Silan the chance to map a shape for your face that you can keep up with simpler appointments later. If you already like your shape and only want it tidied, a single service is enough.

Brow threading, £10

A twisted cotton thread lifts out a line of hairs at a time. It gives a precise edge, and some clients with sensitive skin prefer it to wax because nothing sits on the skin.

Brow wax and shape, £10

Warm wax takes away the hair around the brow in a few strips, then Silan tidies any strays. It's quick, and the finish is clean and even.

Brow tint, £10

A tint colours the brow hairs, including the fine, fair ones you can barely see. Brows look fuller and more defined without any make-up. Add a tint to threading or waxing for £18.

HD Brows, £30

Brow lamination, £40

A lamination solution softens the hairs so Silan can brush them into place and set them there. The result is a fuller, brushed-up look that holds for weeks. With a tint and shape it costs £45.

What's the difference between a lash lift and a Korean lash lift?

Both treatments lift and curl your own lashes from the root, then tint them, so they look longer and darker without extensions or mascara. A lash lift and tint costs £45. The Korean lash lift and tint costs £50 and uses a different lifting system. Dilan will help you choose.

Which one suits you depends on your lashes and the look you'd like. Some clients want a strong, open curl. Others prefer a softer lift that looks as if they were born with it. Before starting, Dilan looks at the length and direction of your lashes and explains what each option will give you.

Dilan is a Nouveau Lashes qualified lash artist and does LVL lash lifts as well as Korean lash lifts. There is nothing glued to your lashes, so there are no extensions to maintain or remove.

Do you do face threading and waxing?

Yes. We thread and wax the upper lip, lower lip, chin, forehead, cheeks and neck, from £4 for the lower lip up to £30 for the full face and neck, excluding brows. The upper lip and chin together cost £12. Most areas take a few minutes and fit around a brow appointment.

Threading suits fine facial hair and skin that reacts to wax. Waxing can be quicker over larger areas such as the cheeks. If you're not sure, tell us at the start of the appointment and we'll suggest one.

If you're tired of regrowth on the same areas every few weeks, laser hair removal gives long-term hair reduction on the face. Results vary and it needs a course, so read the laser hair removal page before you decide.

Who will do my brows and lashes?

Silan does brow treatments, including threading, waxing, tints, HD Brows and brow lamination. Dilan does lash lifts, including LVL and Korean lash lifts. Both practitioners run their own appointments from start to finish, so the person you meet is the person who treats you.

Silan Ozbek founded Maison Aesthetics and has more than seven years of experience. As an HD Brows artist and a PhiBrows artist, a microblading qualification, Silan does HD Brows and brow treatments alongside laser and aesthetics.

Dilan Bozdag has more than three years of experience. A qualified skin practitioner and a Nouveau Lashes qualified lash artist, Dilan also runs the clinic's facials and LED light therapy.

Do I need a patch test before a brow or lash tint?

Yes, and it's free. Our practice is to patch test every client for tint at least 48 hours before their first tint, and that includes the tint in HD Brows, brow lamination with tint, and both lash lifts. It takes a few minutes and shows how your skin reacts.

Book the patch test on Fresha, or ask for one when you call. If your skin, health or medication has changed since your last tint, or it's been a long time since your last visit, ask us whether you need a new one.

Threading and waxing don't use tint, so you can book those without a patch test.

How long do brow and lash treatments last?

Threading and waxing usually last three to five weeks before regrowth shows. Brow tints and HD Brows usually last around four to six weeks. Brow lamination and lash lifts usually hold for six to eight weeks. How fast your hair grows, your skincare and how you look after the area all change this.

A rough guide to rebooking:

• Threading or waxing: every three to five weeks, depending on how quickly your hair grows.
• Brow tint and HD Brows: around every four to six weeks. The tint fades gradually on the skin and on the hair.
• Brow lamination: usually every six to eight weeks. Leaving time between sessions lets the hairs rest.
• Lash lift and Korean lash lift: usually every six to eight weeks, as your lashes shed and regrow on their own cycle.

Oily skin, daily exfoliating products and lots of swimming can shorten the time a tint lasts. We'll give you aftercare advice before you leave.
